Up to 10 people plus crew.

Yes! We are happy to help you learn about fishing. Our crew is ready to assist!
Are children allowed?
Of course! Everyone is welcome. Young children must be supervised by an adult and they can fish if sitting in adult's lap in fighting chair with adult assisting. We do have a dvd player onboard and you are welcome to use it if you bring a dvd for your child. There is a comfortable couch and even beds on board.
Can I bring my service dog or well behaved pet?

Can you accommodate disabilities?

Do you have drinks and food on board?
We have soft drinks plus Mexican beer and wine aboard. On half day trips, we will make you fresh ceviche and guacamole with chips for a snack. On full day trips, Chef Joe will make you lunch, something like fish tacos or quesadillas. Joe is a certified chef - he opened several Damon's restaurants with his dad back in the day. He had an award-winning food truck in Shelbyville, Tennessee prior to moving to Mexico. More extensive food options are possible! For example, if you want steak and lobster dinner after fishing, it can happen! Joe can cook just about anything. He can also arrange for cakes for events.
Are there life jackets on board?
Yes, we follow all safety regulations and have life jackets. You are not requred to wear one during your adventure, but they are there in case of emergency. We also have an emergency first aid kit.
Will I get seasick?
Have you had a problem with seasickness in the past? You may want to take dramamine or something from your doctor. Our boat is very stable and does not have the motion of a panga. People who do get sick on smaller less stable boats will often have no problem on a boat this size and type.
Is there a restroom on board?
There is!
Is there room to stow my belongings?
There is plenty of room.
Will we see any other wildlife besides fish? You may! We have seen whale sharks, rays, dolphins, turtles, flamingoes, and many other water birds.
Do we have to have fishing licenses? Yes. Every person, whether they are fishing or not, has to have a fishing license according to Mexican law. You may already have a license if you bought a yearly permit anywhere in Mexico. If not, we will provide it for you. Without a license, if the authorities board our vessel you could lose your fish, pay fines, and we could lose our tackle or even our boat. We follow all laws!
Can I keep my fish?
You may keep any fish you catch that is within legal limits and of legal size. The crew will clean your fish and vacuum seal it. You may also do catch and release. Any fish that you catch that you do not want to keep that is unable to be released, we will donate to locals in need or use as bait depending on what it is.
Do you know of restaurants that can cook my fish for me?
Yes we do! Glad to assist you in arranging this!
I would like to book a more extensive trip than what is listed, is that possible? Yes! You can go to Cozumel, Isla Mujeres or Holbox! Talk to Joe for more info and to put together a custom package.
What should I tip the crew? We love our Mexican crew and they work very hard. We suggest 15 to 20%.
Is it safe there? I heard something on the news...
It is a very safe place here in the Yucatan Peninsula. You will find the Yucatecan people to be kind, friendly, welcoming, honest, and reliable.
How do I get to Puerto Morelos?
You can fly into Cancun. Puerto Morelos is 20 minutes from the Cancun airport. You can get there by taxi, private driver, collectivo, or ADO bus.
Do I need a possport to come to Puerto Morelos?
Yes, you do! In the USA, you can apply for a passport at your local post office. You will need your birth certificate, your social security number, and you can often have small photos taken right there at the post office or at your local Walgreens. Be sure to allow ample time to receive your passport. You can rush it for a fee.
